The Infamous Enfield came with a composite gasket, saw no reason not to subsequently use similar.

And I have never re-torqued anything as I could not be bothered to remove tank & rocker covers

I allways re-torque after a couple of hundred kilometers. And it's needed. Otherwise it's close to fit-and-forget.
