Hi, does anybody have a rear sprocket template for a crusader? I'm in the process of converting the bike for long distance trials. Thanks.

Scott, I'm not sure what you want. If you are going to get a bigger sprocket welded on to the original brake drum (which is the only practical way to increase the tooth count on the integral drum,) just buy a sprocket blank in the right size and get the old one turned off, new blank bored to size and welded on. I have done this several times and it works fine, get a good welder who won't overheat the drum and distort it. Incidentally you can't go smaller on the rear drum as there isn't enough meat for a smaller sprocket. If you can't do this stuff yourself try Supersprox (Google them) who do this work all the time.

Thanks Mark, I'm new to this, who sells blank sprockets of the right pitch? After further investigation last night I realised that I can drop my drive sprocket from 17t to 15t which will be almost the same as putting a 56t sprocket on the rear instead of the standard 49t.

Thanks,

Scott.

Hi Scott, most engineering supply firms do sprocket blanks if you tell them what size of chain. Alternatively (probably best,) just ship the whole thing to Supersprox.
