Despite most of the advice I am in the process of 'dressing' my 2005 Electra as a trail bike using Hitchcocks 'parts and a few of my own. It is an interesting project, has any one else done this recently. Not complaining, in fact I enjoy doing it, but did you find you needed to make spacers/small special parts? Like spacers for mounting the rear mudguard bracket. What tyres did you use? Any tips? I already have Adrian's advice bout the speedo cable.

Enfields are not precision made and having to make spacers to make things fit properly is quite usual.

I use Continental TKC 80's for my electra trials.
