Was discussing with a friend with a Vincent or two who mentioned
a innovative Australian who had fabricated several pre-war replica
Model A HRD Vincents. Recall much on line discussion here of the
retro Enfield V twin built down under also, but forgotten both the
marketed name, or details of it's success, cost and specs etc. Has
Alan R or other internet wizards any info? Thanxs

Besides the Carberry and the Aniket Vardan's Musket there was/is(?) the Norcroft originally built here in the UK. Also somewhere on youtube there's another home-brew vee twin made in India with a couple of AVL top ends (nothing to do with Paul Carberry's move to India).

The Carberry vee twin seems to have gone through several development stages before finally appearing as quite an attractive motorcycle. Some of the previous Bullet-based vee twins have looked a bit er... clunky? Probably the best looking effort I have seen to date was a Musket engine fitted in a replica Featherbed frame.

Hi Martin------thanks for the compliment....Internet Wizard, eh ??...No, not really..Apparently I sharpen my "Wand" too often !!.......I'd love to have a test ride on either of those models mentioned just for the sheer delight of grunt acceleration and that awesome sound, but as to owning 2 Bullets joined at the hip ??---hmm, no thanks...the insurance alone would probably buy me a small South American country !!!

My friend Neil has recently imported a Carberry into the UK from Australia. You can see it at the REOC Home Counties Rally this summer if you're interested!
