Hi Guys
I recently bought a semi restored 1958 Connie from our hosts and would like some advice.
Firstly I would like to do a 12v conversion but there appears to be a few ways of doing this. Which would you recommend? As it is magneto is it worth changing this for distributor and 12v coil?
Secondly why does the connie use manual advance and retard? Is this the most reliable setup?
I want a bike that looks good but one I can ride and enjoy so reliability is much more important than authenticity.
Any advice is gratefully appreciated
