Cultural, religious,or medical grounds aside, does the forum think its a "good thing", for riders to be blood donors?I am an" A type" altruist. I like to think my 450ML has made a difference to someone, somewhwere, following an "off".

Thanks for giving.
I've given over 8 gallons plus a number of apheresis donations of double-red cells and platelets. It's a charitable gift where all of it goes to the cause. I worked as a phlebotomist for a while in a hospital tapping those veins. Hardy bloody work!

Not sure what all the words mean in Felix's post... but yes, it's a very good idea. Accidents, and my daughter needed qute a bit of spare blood after the birth of her first child. Etc etc.

Sorry.
They hook you to a machine that takes out blood and sorts out whatever they want--- red cells, white, platelets, plasma, and send the leftovers back into you.

Oh, completely forgot what with all that F-U-N just then but I'm FULLY in favour as well....I don't know about Gallons as such but when at work ( A 4-letter word ) I'd always went along to the visiting Blood Donor vehicle.....Hey, I'll do almost anything for a free, chocolate bikky !! -- even give a friendly wave to a passing Harley rider !!.....Why only last week I waved at a biker who had "POLITE" written all over his yellow machine......at least I think that's what it said !!..........so what's this}-- Points on a Licence then ?? How's that work ??
