Took advantage of the recent spell of decent weather to enjoy the first rideout of the year. A few miles down the road pulled up at a junction, trouser leg snagged the footpeg, capsize to port.Never happened before, hope it doesn't happen again....

All noted, me and my G18 did survive throughout that
particular era, despite the fashion However, this time I was safely and properly equipped to ride, boots and textile overs. It still happened. The price you occasionally pay for a "forward" footrest?

I always remove the metal 'lean angle detectors' fitted on modern bikes for this very reason - to stop anything (including the tops of my boots) from being snagged.

I've a pretty good idea I'll know at what point I've leant the bike over too far ;)

Same on a cycle when you're clipped in and can't get your foot out quick enough, the road comes up to meet you very quickly.
