The low mark on the dipstick is well above the level of the oil feed pump and crank end feed, there is a safe margin a good way below it.

No, you want to turn the engine over as you're pushing it about. Note the first thing I advised you do in this procedure was remove the sparkplug. I can usually push mine round in second with the plug out (if I'm feeling reasonably fit).

As Bullet Whisperer says, there is oil below the dipstick. However, if it gets too low, the way to be warned is to have an oil temperature gauge fitted, the oil will start to over-heat, sending the indicator moving up to the hot range, if this is seen, that`s the time to pull over to the side of the road and check the level. Most Bullets oil runs about 50c, which will hardly move the indicator off its stop. Mine was mounted on the right-hand-side indicator stalk with the sensor probe through the drain plug. Any Pirtek or hydraulic hose dealer`s workshop should be able to drill and tap the hole in the drain plug for a couple of dollars/pounds.

Hi Guys---------- I use Morris 20/50 in the Bullet '65 and 15/50 semi in the Honda XBR500 with their respective oil filters in pre-soak ready for their next change...

forgot to mention}--- With that tappet cover----if you remove the threaded stud, put a helicoil in place of the bare thread in the case, you can now use a bolt to clamp the cover in place....This gives a lot more space for those 2 spanners that you use when adjusting the tappet setting..........I put a short collar on the inside to limit the amount of clamping force placed on that cover....

Yes, 50C is about it. This was the conversion kit from our hosts. Very neat, sits in the dipstick hole, it is the dipstick!

The disadvantage of a dipstick thermometer is, it is not visible whilst riding, which is exactly the time it is needed to be watched if a bike is an oil burner.

Hi Guys

Tried to start the bike today. no luck

> Good news , There is spark , tested by removing the plug and earth it with cylinder head. kick few time. it looks health to me

> Filled the petrol tank with 4 liter petrol .

> Fuel tap is key based. on it. checked by removing the fuel pipe , just drop of petrol coming

> do you think that much petrol is enough ?

> I suspect issue with tap filter. it like 4-5 inch long filter.
> next to remove the tap and take a look at tap filter. any tips on this ..

You suggestion/ideas are welcome.

Hi ET------remove the tank cap and try again....If it is still just a drop coming out then you have a filter blockage by the sound of it.......Personally I'd now take the time to remove the tank and do a complete clean and check all round.....
