Hi peeps

I currently have one of our host's single seats fitted to my 350. The description states "SINGLE SEAT, TRIALS TYPE, LEATHER (for Bullets & early B5 up to 2014)". I'm looking at maybe getting a brand new B5 soon, and I'd like to swap my seat over - does anybody know what it is about those after 2014 that makes the seat unsuitable?

Hi Doug hope you are well? It probably be best to speak to our hosts, it's possible it may need the seat bracket fitting, also depends on where the two rear bolts fit on the newer bike, but I'm sure they'll be able to tell you if it's possible 👍🏻

It largely depends on the seat size. The single seat on the C5 has an additional bracket to hold the single seat that my 2015 B5 does not. For the single seat that I have on my B5 I made up a bracket that went between the existing front dual seat bracket and the top anchor for the rear suspension. The seat was supplied with two drilled 50 mm long extension pieces but these bent the first time I used them, hence the need to make up a decent bracket to support it. This seems to work OK as the seat is rather large. On my older 350 Bullet the single seat would probably fit on the existing front dual seat bracket as it is a smaller seat. Refer to Hitchcock's if in doubt - as Steve says.

Just in case someone else does a search for this, here's the reply I got from our hosts :-

The later models have a different mounting for the petrol tank which now utilises a 2 bolt rear mount where the old seats used to mount, the 2 studs at the rear remain the same but you won’t have the front mounting point.
