Hello All, I have been checking and cleaning the rocker assemblies. All went smoothly until the last one. At some time in the past a spindle has been put in the wrong way around. So I cannot screw a threaded bolt in to draw it out. I don't think it will make any difference to the operation, but it is not right!!! Has anyone run in to this sort of issue, and how to get the spindle out? It does not seem possible to tap it out from the other end for fear of damaging threads.

Hi Peter,
I have two methods I use on both twins and Big Heads to get the spindles out with ease, first is a 'Car Ariel' magnet of suitable diameter to pick up the end of the spindle and pull it out, or second, if a bit more force is required, a 'Phillips' type screwdriver of a suitable diameter can be slid right inside the bore of the spindle, pulled over one way so it 'grabs' the spindle and pulled out. Slacking the tappet adjusters will help a bit, too. Regards, Paul.
