Hi, i'm Mark and I thought i'd introduce myself here. I have 2 enfield one a Model G the other being a 1960 Constellation. Some of the members on here going by their "nicknames" seem familiar and i'm sure i've met them in other places/groups when they have helped me with advice etc regarding the Constellation. Just one thing: I have 30 years of Triumph Twin ownership working against me so you'll have to forgive me or take a pinch of salt if some of my questions seem downright daft at times ;)

All the best, Mark

Marko, What is your oil-thread? I think mine's a Whitworth but I know everyone will chip in and give an opinion...

Seriously, welcome and Enjoy it all! Best wishes,

Wayne "I be from Gloucester" & Chris as long as a thread has something to do with doing/undoing a nut or a screw i'm fine ;) whenever a "thread"/post/topic has anything to do with oil I just run away :)

Well I do love a good oil thread myself. I find that with all oil threads there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know about oil. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we now know we don't know about oil. But there are also oily unknown unknowns. But there are things we do not know we don't know about oil - and sometimes grease as well. (With thanks to Donald).

Seriously welcome to the tribe and you will usually get very good advice here (even about oil). I too was a long term Triumph owner (both modern and classic) but after a gap without any bike ownership I also am now a RE owner - a 1965 Continental GT.

Hope you get the head gasket problem successfully fixed soon.

Regards
