Ok, you`ve convinced me to go for the ally barrel, and I already had a forged piston.
If I go for the 535 upgrade will the extra compression blow the sprag clutch as soon as I push the button?

No idea re ES... Should imagine if you keep it standard compression it would be OK.. Might be worth having the head gas flowed whilst it's off if you can afford it... Free flow air filter and exhaust will give you a useful performance boost.

If you are concerned about the amount of compression and the starter sprag, you could try retarding the inlet cam by 1 tooth, I do it with most of my high compression, tuned engines. It also gives a smoother engine at the expense of a little less bottom end 'grunt', but increases top end power and rpm.
