The Albion reverse G-box was intended to be used with a hand change and Gate, on the side of the tank...
With the foot change it is possible to engage reverse from first!!! BANG!
The reverse gear box is identifiable by a significant bulge out of the lower rear of the main gear box casting, and was available in 3 or 4 speed plus reverse. As fitted to Pashley trikes and on Berkley cars.
There is a third variant of the reverse Gbox, with a different main casting, which was fitted to Railway Jiggers and small industrial vehicles like mini dump trucks and cement mixers, and the two-stroke Berkley car.
Not that it will probably be much use to any one, but I do have a copy of the Reverse gear box parts listS, if needed...
