Hi

Is there anywone that can tel me how to chainge the cam followers of my 1952 bullet? looks like that they pressed in the engine.
I it possible to heat up the engine, and than tap them out?

second question: I replaced my right hand cranckshaft bearing 4 years ago, and is now wear out again! is there an better solution for? (not the original bearing).

Hi, heat up the cases and the followers are pulled out from above with a threaded extractor. Q2 are you talking about wear in the timing shaft and outer race? Vince.

Yes Vince, that's correct.
I think there is not enough oil there when the bike is running.
I have place an oil seel after it, maybe that's the problem! No oil from the timing side.....

The original Timing side bearing is not very strong, hence they eventually went to a double row roller. Even so, the end of the crank shaft was supposed to run a close fit in the case. Now that you have fitted an oil seal you have cut off part of the supporting alloy, and reduced the oil supply...

Crank alignment is critical, individual roller dia is super critical!!!

In the long run, it will be cheaper for you, and stronger for the crank shaft, to fit a N205 roller bearing.

Hi Guys--------Hi TIM, yes, I've had that happen a few times with other threads....I realise you are perhaps more than a few mins. walk away from our hosts emporium ( English understatement --LoL !!) but I got in touch with our hosts and their Website "Ace" did something and all was well again...
