Latest update.. Bottom end ASBO PH026 by Performance Classics, valve timing set with inlet cam retarded by one notch, distributor fitted, electronic ignition static timing set, timing cover fitted, all bolts torque checked, crankcases dropped into frame and married up with the 5 speed gearbox ...Rain stopped play so tea time..

Looking very nice indeed there "young" Mr. T .......... Come the New Year, a new rear sprocket and the new front disc system fitted ( not forgetting a new MoT !!) I think I'll give that retarded tooth idea a go as well........... but not until AFTER putting in some year 2018 miles, just so that I'm up to speed (ironic turn of phrase for a Bullet '65 !!) so to speak and can thus quantify any differences in overall performance...('r indoors says I've got a retarded tooth in my head !!)....

Well I was hoping to have the piston, barrel and head fitted up but the Lord thought otherwise so it's back under wraps untill the weekend, weather permitting...

Hi RIC and thanks for that very useful and clear photo...How do you compensate with the ignition dot setting........What difference did you notice ??.... Was it worth doing ??......
