An 8 inch spring set on a saddle on a rigid such as my 38 Velo is not the same as the very stiff springs on the C5. In any event, I asked for suggestions on lowering the standard seat as fitted to the C5. Given what has been said, I might go for a fixed saddle on the hosts site and adapt to fit. Cheers all.
