Hi, on eBay is an unusual Albion gearbox, no 132390425269.Can anyone identify it? Vince

That number results in a modern RE gearbox cover not an Albion gearbox.

Hi, this is an Albion gearbox cover but a very odd shape, never seen this type before , I reiterate my question. Vince.

I think that is the cover as used in India for 4 speed gearboxes with a cross over mechanism for left foot change, which is covered by the 'extra bit' of casing.

Hi, that makes sense, there is the matching inner case for sale by the same vendor with a hole in the bottom left corner. Did the changeover shaft run down the back of the gearbox instead of through oiltank? Vince

Vince the advert states:-

Outer Gearbox Transmission Cover Modern Indian Royal Enfield 500 Bullet 456r

Where have you got the idea it is unusual?

Hi, Unusual in the sense that having rebuilt Albion gearboxes for 40years I have not come across this configuration. Vince
