kh, your bike had the very early breather arrangement where the path is through the drive side crank shaft and then through the outer primary cover to a breather boss on the underneath of the outer cover. If you have the cover off the oil that is sitting there will inevitably drip into the case, it can't go anywhere else. Once assembled the oil should pass through the cover and exit the bike as planned. And that's the problem, this breather is a very poor design and will drip/breathe whatever you do. Have you had it running properly yet? One thing that is important to breathing on all Bullets is to not overfill the oil tank, you need the level to be about half way up the dipstick. You won't have marks on yours if original but it should be easy to guess. By the way, on message boards like this, it is considered rude to type all in capitals, it is only used when posters want to shout which we don't do here, obviously! Otherwise, welcome and post us a picture if you can?

Not at all, now you've explained we know why! Do you have the engine running? I had one of these for a while and I couldn't stop it breathing oil out of the pipe. I suspect a rubber pipe fitted and led back and up (important that it is higher) to a catch tank might have worked as an oil separator. Unfortunately the bike got stolen before I could do that so I never worked it through. Have you got the correct outer cover I described? The later one without breather will fit but you will definitely have a breather problem then as there is nowhere for it to go.
