THIS YEAR MARKS 50 YEARS SINCE ROYAL ENFIELDS CEASED BEING MADE AT THE REDDITCH FACTORY, AND AS FAR AS I CAN TELL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO COMMEMORATE THIS. SO PUT SUNDAY 27TH NOVEMBER IN YOUR DIARIES FOR A SHORT RUN OUT TO THE FACTORY, OR WHAT'S LEFT OF IT 😥.

Meet up will be at the Food Stop Cafe on the A442, approx' 3 miles south of Bridgnorth, at Quatford (that's between Danesford and Quatt), Shropshire, at 10:15am for a 11:00hrs departure.

The ride to the factory will take in a countryside route for the most part, and will be approx' 28 miles long/1 hour. The outline route is as follows: Food Stop Cafe - Wolverley - Blakedown - Belbroughton - Lickey End - Redditch.

After the obligatory photo's at the factory, those that wish to do so can pop into tthe town to The Royal Enfield pub for a warm. Parking is limited at the pub, but if numbers were such that parking would become difficult, I would try to arrange something with one of the local businesses to "borrow" some space for an hour or so.

Please bare in mind that this will be advertised in a few places on the web, so to get an idea of the numbers attending, please only put your name down on one of these places.

If you wish to attend, please post below.

Cheers,

Chris.

Wotcha.

I think the weather this time of year will be the deciding factor. I, for one, won't commit myself until they day . . .six degrees is my magic figure. Any colder and I don't venture out.

Rain and I certainly don't go out - don't mind if I get caught in it, but I don't set off in the rain these days.

I'm the same regarding rain----hard luck if you get caught but no need to deliberately go out in the stuff !!---------------------- My magic number is 3 degrees !!----------
