Last time I used tyre foam in a bike tyre, it took a good three miles of riding for it to fully seal so there is definatley a dynamic process going on.



One of the first puncture sealants "gloops" out there was called linseal. This was designed for plant and agricultural vehicles which are mostly tubed. I've used it in motorcycle tyres before. By definition, I have no idea if it ever prevented a puncture. I certainly never got one with it.

Just a word of caution. Whilst I do use the gloop on all my bikes and farm equipment be careful when checking tyre pressures. I used the local Tesco machine and it was set a couple of pounds below the pressure in my Enfield front tyre.
Tesco were probably less than amused that in lowering my tyre pressure the gloop successfully went back up their airline.
