LJKS was a cut above the average – in his knowledge, his sartorial choices and his refusal to tell us what everyone else seemed to want to say. I guess he was an eccentric. Not only did he write on motoring and motorcycling but also on high class audio equipment – I forget for which publication, I think HiFi News. We will not see their like again – sadly. All this reminds me of another doyen of motorcycle authors – CJA – Cyril J Ayton, of Motorcycle Sport, also an eccentric and very fine and knowledgeable writer.
