I have a 2016 bullet b5 EFI, I have a rattle coming from the header (bend pipe), I know its covered under warranty (well, I'm guessing), but do you think its a loose catalytic converter? Or is something else?

The Catalytic converter is located in the muffler...

Do you also get a rattle if you thump the header pipe with a rubber hammer?

Could possibly be the inner pipe broken or lcome oose. Be interested on the outcome on as I've heard that a silencer that suffered a split seam after just a few hundred miles/couple of weeks was apparently deemed a consumable part by the importers and it's replacement cost was not covered under warranty

Fractured muffler a Consumable part? What a load or horse manure!

Almost as silly as the bogus 'reason' why the Factory apply Silver paint over the exhaust welds.

Yes chrome exhaust with silver paint on the welds. When will they ever learn that it is silly cost saving measures like this that keep giving Royal Enfield
a bad name. I saw a youtube the other day from BW where he was repairing a fairly new UCE Royal Enfield where the nut that holds the rotor on the crank shaft came off. It was found in the bottom of the primary cover. This let the crank float from side to side inside the crank cases. This nut should have been done up at the factory. He also found that a spring loaded indexer in the gearbox was not installed properly and it would not change gears properly.
Just dumb things like this found in export grade motorcycles supposedly put together in a modern factory shows that Indian quality control is still lacking.
I wonder how the new Indian made Harley-Davidson motorcycles are going. I bet that there are a heap of American quality control inspectors running around the "Indian Harley-Davidson" factory making sure that there motorcycles are put together properly, but, I wonder what engine bearings are in the Harley's???.

I'm going to my mechanic in 4 days, I'll let you know what they say, I really hope this is under warranty. Thanks.

Vijay: Insist on the header pipe being removed from the bike and inspected internally.

If you read your warranty details; it says among other (lame) things that Slight Vibration is not covered...

DONT accept that in this instance!

Here's an update, I was using a free flow muffler and what was happening was where the exhaust and muffler meet, there was a very light gap causing for both the exhaust pipe and muffler to slightly rattle, I tighten the bottom screw super tight and hammers the muffler clamp tight, it's perfectly fine now, sorry for being a nuisance on the message board and thanks for all the help.
