Hi everyone, festive greetings. I am now the proud owner of a lovely Craven top box but am in a bit of a dilemma about which rack to use to fit it to. I have a B5 EFI but have a single seat fitted. If I go for the normal top box carrier, it will stick out a long way at the back which I don't think will look very good and it will make it pretty tight fitting in the shed! I am thinking about going for the rear carrier which fits on the mudguard (not the small oval one, the more substantial one) which I think will look much better and fit in the shed better. At some point next year, I would like to be able to occasionally carry a pillion. There is a pillion seat which fits to this rack so in theory I could remove the top box and pop the seat on...has anyone used this seat and able to tell me whether it is a simple job to add the seat and remove it or would it be a pain to do each time? Also,has anyone used this rack to carry a top box and does it work / look ok?

I fitted the carrier and seat (purchased from our hosts) to my C5 and while the carrier was fine my wife didn't like the seat very mush as its a bit hard and it set her rather high up - she bashed her chin on top of my helmet if I made a gear change unexpectedly. This was my solution. Not the same bike I know but may help. I just cut the long legs of the standard carrier and made some brackets up to suit.

Just looked piglet, the standard bullet carrier (200003) fits the B5 so it should modify in the same way.

That's my bike whose picture you posted by mistake, Chris. Normally it has no luggage but once a year it gets the low-level exhaust and a set of panniers fitted for a rally in Brittany.

You will note that the rear carrier is just a chunk of old plywood (secured to the pannier frames by four P-clips). The larger tank it used to wear would come in handy for touring, must get the leak in it fixed.

Sorry if this is a hijack but it is on topic.
Does anyone use throw overs on a c5 classic. I removed the pillion seat but was wondering if I could use the frame to support the panniers. I need some large ones for my impending trip. There is also a sari guard on the bike.
