My Electra is fine, but my T100ss is a pain.
Had a 60 mile run today, very enjoyable, but on arriving home shut throttle and engine died.
Checked for spark at plugs, nothing.wated 30minutes spark back.
Recently renewed coil and condenser ,cleaned and checked points ,oiled advance unit in distributor,
Where can I look next to over come this problem?
Living in hope for an answer,
Regards

You can look in any accessory catalogue that sells a suitable electronic ignition conversion kit ;)
On a slightly more serious note, I've known a flat/dying battery to cause this problem. Check the charge going into as well as the condition of the battery itself.

That's where you start. it's usually the last thing you did that's causing a problem.

Your 62 is a rare bike still with the dizzy. Most converted to the 4 or 6 CA points system in the timing cover.

IF you have fitted a genuine NOS Lucas condencer, there in is the most likely cause of the fault. Even so occasionally a modern condencer will play up.

What was/is the resistance across the coil?

You oiled in the dissy? It's not oil mist on the points is it? Also put the old condensor back on and try it. You have n't got NGK plugs fitted have you? There are soooo many snides about that work one minute but not the next.
