+1 what Gwilly has said. If the the rings and bote are not properly broken in it is likely that the engine will burn oil. I don't think RE engines are built to the fine tolerances of most others. For one thing clearances need to be greater for an air cooled bike than a liquid cooled one because the temperature cannot be as constant. No point in using fully synthetic until run in. Frequent changes of suitable mineral oil would be better. Above all ignore the stupidly low speeds advised for running in in the handbook. Just don't abuse it, vary the speeds and loads. Better to do shorter journeys at first to avoid overheating. Really on these UCE bikes it's only the rings/bore that need running in engine-wise, though the tyres, brakes and suspension do too.
