If anyone says anything, tell them it's not the reg on the front, just the name of the bike. Then keep it.

Some of what's gone on so far:

The petrol tank was a little rusty inside

Benefits of a chaincase: the chain had some light surface rust, but flexible and in adjustment after 25 years!

It had a 3-part petrol cap, now converted back into the original 1-part

Some of the bulbs looked a bit dodgy

Headlight socket repaired with a dab of solder, bits of hacksaw blade, and some gorilla glue

And if this all works, and displays all the images correctly, it'll be a miracle!

'Giggle photos' dosen't seem to work? I'd suggest making another movie of it all, the last one was great!

I swapped the centre stand on Kevin for our hosts Indian one. not as authentic, but at least I can park the bike and still bend over the next morning!

So is it going to get a name? (not hon*a please after the vtr800 number).

people buy vehicles cheap sometimes just to sell the number and then sell the vehicles on which is really wrong. It's all the DeVious L A's fault for actually selling them in the first place. When I was a kid it was whatever you got, and if you got a good one you were lucky! In France, the reg stays with the vehicle for it's entire life, and they are riveted on at the garage by law.

I wonder if they ever issued TW 1 T, as I know a few drivers that it would suit.
