Hi, I'm having some problems with starting my Bullet (2010 efi).
Sometimes when I go to start it, nothing happens apart from all the lights go dim for the duration of me pressing the starter button. I've checked all the fuses, the fuel pump makes its usual noise when I turn on the ignition, I've put the battery on charge overnight and I've tried moving the bike forwards whilst it's in gear just in case anything has jammed. Nothing seems to work. I can then go back to it an hour later and it turns over and starts first time. I'll go out for a ride and when I try to start it again there's nothing.
Has anyone else experienced any similar problems?

Its probably the battery after seven years, get it load tested usually for free at a stockist..

If you charge it fully and leave it to sit for 12hrs then check standing voltage should be over 12.5VDC. any less gives an indication that its knackered..

Also check all earth connections to frame are clean and secure..

Then check all fuse holders and connections..

Not necessarily in that order but should find something..

Also check the interlock switch in the clutch lever.Mine gives trouble occasionally like you describe. I think that the 3 pin connector is not so good.

I had a similar problem, although it would then start straight away with second press of the starter. I never made the link until I read Revband's post above, but the starter solenoid went kaput a while ago and I haven't had the starting problem since it was replaced - so I would second his advice.
