2012 Honda NC700X DCT 19,444 miles £3900 ono
I’ve gone and bought myself an AT DCT so my trusty NC is up for sale.
It’s one of the first (slightly more powerful) UK bikes registered new in June 2012 and I bought it from the first owner when just a year old in June 2013. It had just over 2000 miles on the clock then and I’ve added another 17k in the nearly four years I’ve owned it.
First two services were at Honda dealer (812 and 4480miles), third at an independent dealer (11,109 miles) and included tappets, brake fluids, K&N air filter and front brake pads. Since then it’s been oil and filters (two each time) by myself at 14,600 miles along with a new X ring chain and the last oil & filter just before Christmas along with rear pads. Since then I’ve done less than 1,000 miles on it.
MOT is until 21st July 2017, happy to put a new one on if close to asking price. Front PR3 has done about 4k miles and has plenty left in it, just fitted a brand new PR3 to the rear, not even been up the road on it yet.
The previous owner had the following extras fitted to it from new:
Radiator guard
Rear Hugger
Engine bars
Tuturo chain oiler
Hand guards
Oxford heated grips with ‘intelligent’ controller
Honda centre stand
Gel seats (rider + pillion)
I have added:
Front Fenda extender
Shorty brake lever (original available)
Beowulf end can (original available)
K&N air filter
Wilbers rear shock (original available)
Pre-load fork adjusters (original caps available)
Optimate charging lead
I also have a Givi rack and top box + Leo Vince decat front pipe which are not fitted but any new owner can have for a reasonable amount. If not then I’m happy to sell them separately.
From when got it in June 2013 through to early 2016 this was my ‘do it all’ bike and I covered the bulk of the 17k miles I have done during that time. Although I don’t commute on a bike it has been used through the Winter (ACF50’d) every year and on several long trips and I bought it to use rather than polish so although in decent condition it does have the usual marks and corrosion you would associate with a 5-year-old 19k bike. It has never been dropped or bumped in any way.
£3950 ono
So, there you have it, a great example of this much under-rated bike with the sought after DCT gearbox. It has been well maintained, comes with just about every extra you could want (and some you probably won’t!) and is up for a decent price.
I’m in Hampshire near Ringwood off the A31 and happy for anyone to come and view. I’m not in a desperate hurry to get rid (mileage may go up a tad for old times’ sake) so I’ll list it on here for a week or two then fleabay for the inevitable idiot questions and px offers. Come and have a look, I’ll make you a cuppa and we can talk bikes even if you don’t want it in the end.
