Hi guys, got an '05 bullet 500es I'm having some problems with and unfortunately, electrical problems are not my forte.
The indicators stay solid, no blinking. All bulbs work fine, I put a new flasher on the bike, indicators worked fine for 15 mins and then after that, reverted to the lights staying solid.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

The globes might be fine, but I would check that the contacts are clean and the wiring terminals were tight. Maybe try yet another relay if you can borrow one from a friend. Apart from that,-------?

Hi Leon, sorry about the broken English in the first post, 14 beers does that..
yeah I might have a look at all the terminals when I get a chance, but I did chuck in another flasher which worked for 15 minutes until it stopped working and the lights went solid again!

Ah, good question. Not sure is the answer, the flasher is the standard minda 2 pin which came out with the original electric start cast iron 5 speed bullets, but the indicators and bulbs were an aftermarket job (200018 is the host part number) so I'd only assume they'd be 10 watt or so.

In theory ... the indicators are staying on because either (a) the flasher relay is sticking -- unlikely to affect two in a row -- or (b) the flasher relay doesn't have enough current going through it to heat up and break the circuit. This could happen because the indicator bulb wattage is too low (standard is 10w I think), but is more likely due to poor connections -- check all the indicator and flasher relay connections, including earths.
