Worth a look, just a snippet copied and pasted:-

The Royal Enfield ownership experience is a complex one – often inherited or aspired to. It involves an appreciation of the more elemental aspects of a motorcycle, along with a fondness for tinkering with the machine (often unexpectedly).

Fortunately the Ad-Blocker works :) And it starts off on the wrong foot with, "Having dabbled in the business of small arms at the Royal Enfield Small Arms Factory" erm, no. Nevermind checking information is factually correct then.

The Enfield Cycle co. may have done engineering work for the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield but the RSAF was a Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF), government owned and running from 1816 up to 1988 when the site was closed, now a museum. It was the RSAF that made the Lee-Enfield Rifle, any many many others, Bren, Sten, ADEN cannon (Armament Development establishment + ENfield), nothing to do with Royal Enfield.

It came as a surprise to me last year to find out that the Triang toy factory at Merthyr Tydfil also produced Sten guns for the war effort, hope they never got mixed up with the kid,s Christmas presents ! That would have livened things up a bit !
