Good afternoon gents,

I'm in a bIt of a pickle with my forks.

I have a service manual and I have looked all over the net
and Evan looks though 2016 posts on here ,
but I can't seem to find any info on removing the the seals.

I currently have both forks off complete and I am unable to
separate the lower half from the top half as I can't fine the correct
information.

This is a real bummer as I have been able to carry out all repairs
myself and I am beginning to feel defeated.

So you chits are my last hope before I give in and head to the garage.

The bike in question is a RE Electra Efi on 2010 plate(E5)

Papasmurf, that video is no good for the EFI ELECTRA forks, it is for the later style used on some Thunderbird models and, with a few differences depending on model year, the B5 and C5 EFI forks.

The EFI Electra has the same forks as the Electra-X which, internally, are the standard Indian 1988 - 2007 Bullet forks, only the sliders were changed from the drum brake versions for the mudguard lugs and Q/D disk brake spindle. The hex cap at the top of the stanchions stays put!

Foz, go to our hosts' technical notes as Papasmurf advises in his 2nd reply, under under "Suspension" you will see a link to download the notes for fork seal replacement 1988 on. Download this PDF file and open it up, all the info you need is there.

Thanks for the help guys but the " little encouragement "
is not working, I'm just ruining my rubber mallet.
how would you hit the lower fork? I've been hitting the mud
guard mount?
