My sincere hope is that this Meteor Minor goes to an appreciative owner (someone here, maybe?) who treats it to an oily rag restoration, plus a new set of tyres and whatever mechanical/electrical TLC it needs. Sadly I fear it might be bought by some wretched speculator who just leaves it a couple of months before putting up for sale again for twice what they paid for it. This happened with cafe racer Interceptor recently. A.

Congratulations Ed, a man after my own heart. You may have read my story of reviving a 1968 Mk1A Interceptor in the hopes of keeping it as "oily rag" as possible. Looking at the pics of your new bike I'm sure you can fix whatever is wrong and keep the patina. I've ridden a MM and liked it very much although it is a completely different ride to the 700 Twins. I'm looking forward to a thread on the revival!

Well, as you may or may not know, I have a page full of manuals, adverts, reviews and other stuff about Meteor Minors, just scroll down the page to (Kevin's corner). There is even a colour wiring diagram.

There are vids on my youtube channel as well.

And good luck with your beautiful bike.
