Hello Perorec,
Before fitting a new carb, there is more to do with your's (improving the air intake, tip top tuning, those kinds of things). After that, if you want to have a bit ooomph, even if you let the same carb size (28mm) you really have to work on the head, especially the inlet port, that is terribly restrictive, and in my opinion, suited to Indian traffic (no offence there).

Perorec,if you measure the Bullet inlet port at the carb end you will find it to be 32-33mm!!
Only go to 32mm when you raise the compression ratio on this engine,it's a slippery ride downhill from
there as that means bottom end mods,ignition mods,so unless you're prepared to pay big time stick with the stock 28 Micarb.

I recently replaced the Amal carb on my iron Bullet with the original VM28 - more authentic; have not lost any speed, in fact engine starts and runs better.....
