Hi there,
After draining the primary side case, I refilled it with fresh oil (approx. 400 ml). I then removed the drain/Level screw again to check the oil level. I expected either no oil or only oil beginning to ooze out of the hole. But I experienced a constant oil flow (my fresh oil!). Now, I presume that the engine, particularly the primary side/clutch mechanism has to be operational for a while before I can check the oil level (ooze out) - am I correct? Thank you very much, sorry for my English, regards Peter.

Perhaps you didn't get it all out? Anyway, it doesn't matter as long as it's filled to the level plug. I usually fill it with the level plug out and just stop when it overflows.

I usually have the outer cover off when it's due an oil change. It's amazing how much crap builds up in there and it doesn't tend to all drop out with the oil.

Any one noticed on removal of primery chaincase that the chain tensipner looks like it is too closer to outer, chain runs on back half of pad, I thought it should run in the middle of chain. This is on a iron barrel .
