I agree, it has an early 1950's Ariel tele fork look about it (they swapped to nacelle headlamps later on).

Can you use it on a Bullet? Hmmm. Never seen one fitted, even if it is outwardly similar to the Enfield item (see our hosts' versin in the accessory catalogue). IF everything lines up correctly with the RE bottom yoke, IF the holes for the fork legs are the right diameter, 1 3/8" with the right thread, if they are the right distance apart, if the steering stem is long enough, IF the stem hole is the right distance from the distance from the fork legs, IF the steering head bearings are compatible, etc, etc...
It would have been a good idea to find out what it was before you parted with the £££ unless you bought it cheaply, and with a chronometric speedometer sitting in it I suspect it wasn't cheap!
Never mind, the speedometer itself is well worth having and getting refurbished, and if the Ariel top yoke doesn't fit the RE forks and/or bottom yoke you can always sell it on to an Ariel owner and put the money towards the actual RE item. Be careful if you are tempted by an Indian copy, some of the machining can be a bit off, which is why Mr H. no longer sells them.
