After buying shed loads of NGK standards (probably a lot of fakes amongst them) an iridium plug was fitted to our then oily Bullet way back early 2000s Replaced when engine rebuilt for Big Adventure, still there untouched, engine still running sweetly with gas engine tick over.
Merely an observation, not advocating, preaching, proselytising or whatever

Getting there Dennis, slowly. Med induced tiredness means more reading & writing than doing bike things, but that will change
Actually went in the garage t'other day, stood on the Bullet k/start, plenty of compression, with the decompressor on the engine was spun a few times to move a bit of oil about. I'm wondering if I should maybe squirt a bit of 3in1 down the plug hole as it has been standing now since a short ride early October.
