Rattlebattle, the baby Triumph was widely reported and photographed in 2012 (eg.Cycle World 12th Dec 2012). Sadly it seems to have died quietly though. Regarding smaller bikes, I feel it's not only ageing riders wanting something more manageable, but also people asking the question, "what exactly is the POINT" of bikes with engines bigger than a family car or a superbike capable of 200 MPH? Just why FFS? It's just stupid. And as for the phraseology - Naked, Street Fighter,etc., Oh come on, grow up. It's a bike not a biggest willy competition! Or maybe I am that ageing rider, gradually morphing into a miserable old git!

I agree. A neighbour has a Kawasaki H2. It cost him £22k. He has to have a tracker fitted and therefore needs to remember to switch on the ignition when wheeling it back into his garage as, otherwise, he gets texts and phone calls telling him his bike has moved...To be fair he's always been a Kawasaki nut, but I can't see the point in having it as all he can do is go for a short ride - he can't leave it anywhere for fear of it getting nicked. All for bragging rights about 205bhp. By contrast I leave mine down dark alleys hoping someone will nick it....Not really; I love my RE for what it is. I wouldn't want one as an only bike though as I do travel abroad and with friends. I try not to take it all too seriously. Your comment about breakdowns reminds me of the old joke about why Skoda have heated rear windows- to keep your hands warm when you push it. I'll get me coat.

205 bhp on two wheels is just plain bonkers. There's no way you can use anything like that so what's the point? Mines bigger than yours of course.

Hi all anybody know what size the primery chain is on uce b5 my chain felt threw the large cap on case outer seem very tight still think the prob is in chain tension adjuster if thats the case no wonder they vibrate badly from new, maybe as dealers say improves after 3000 miles maybe chain has stretched.

But once stretched beyond a certain limit the automatic tensioner will remove the slack so you're back to running a tight(er) primary chain again - unless you've replaced or modified the standard tensioner so that manual adjustment is required to remove excess slack as it appears.
