Hello, my iron barrel bullet 500, year 2006, 5 speed is loosing compression. Because of that it doesn't start. At the same there must be a crack in rocker oil feed pipe, because there is oil leaking (from the place where pipe splits to two pipes). Might be these two issues connected? Could compression also be lost through that pipe? I'm just learning mechanics, so pardon if it's really silly question.

p.s. that crack is fresh issue so luckily no damage done.

Thanks

No, the compression can't get out of the oil pipe.
First thing to check is the valve clearance. If the tappets are tight you won't get compression.

Isn't that tee joint at about the level of the head gasket?
Are you sure the gasket hasn't blown and spitting oil onto the rocker pipe..
Would loose compression if blown really bad..

Agree with Pete F - we put our 08 on the dyno for a speed test and all was going well, then it stopped. Pushrods had jumped - it was a new purchase albeit second hand and we had done a huge amount of work on other parts, and completely overlooked checking the tappet adjustment, which is a first thing you should do, and we did not for some inexplicable but human reason.
