Report on Visordown website states that the Himalayan will be on display at the Milan show. I would presume that the bike will also be at the Birmingham show with a launch next year. Had a sniff around the web and a USA launch with fuel injection in planned there also. This bike interests me a lot but as always it pays to let someone else do the beta testing and it sounds like there have been recalls on the tappets and clutch already. Still it is an Enfield so it's not going to be perfect out of the showroom. I wonder if this bike will sell in the UK - personally a thumper with a bit of off road ability has a lot of appeal but they will have to price it right.

There will need to be a very big improvement to the Himalayan before it is let loose on the European market.

They'll have to launch something or they'll have nothing to sell; the current models are not Euro IV compliant.

Who knows for sure, especially given the court ruling yesterday. However, our esteemed PM made it clear at the Tory Conference that there would be a single Act to repeal the legislation that bound us to European laws in the seventies and that in slow time (my phraseology) all EU legislation would be considered and either adopted as UK law or replaced by something different. As Article 50 won't be actioned until at least March 2017 (and the court ruling casts doubt on the ability of the Govt to do that) we shall still be bound by Euro IV regs in January, when they come into force. A member of another forum has recently commented that this dealer had told him that no more REs were being imported. They are already beginning to be discounted; most if not all of the new ones at my supplying dealer have been pre-registered. A good time to buy a new but pre-registered RE I would have thought...

As far as I can tell, the supreme court has no jurisdiction and no right to try and put conditions on desisions made by the will of the people, so their ruling can just be ignored.

Royal enfield have to make sure this bike is mechanically sound and extremely reliable. With Bmw's G310gs coming out soon and with a sub 5k price tag, Enfield have some very serious competition and a back up second to none. Also the Bmw is more powerful and aready have a sound customer base. I really hope Enfield can get this bike right first time in Europe,because it looks ideal for me.
