The culprit probably is the starter relay - at least my machine devours them. Make sure they remain protected from water.

Had a problem with my Bullet 65 starter, would work some days. Press starter and you could hear solenoid clicking plus a sidelight would come on.
Checked and cleaned all wire connections made no difference, finally attached a new earth wire heavy gauge but left the old one in place. Now it works every time, hope this helps.
