TOON ARMY!

What sort of money are we talking about here? I'm looking for something similar but not especially any given year, just 3+3 configuration for my 2008 Electra EFI.... But I'm not sure it's feasable doing that on a '58 plate machine?

There's still a few DVLA diamonds hiding in plain sight. You can pick up an exact plate for a 1973 Hurricane for a mere £250 if you know what to look for.
No weird spacings, no added black or yellow plastic bolt heads etc etc.
Surprised it hasn't been withdrawn for auction. I expect it'll disappear as soon as this has been read though...

Ric,

Of course you wouldn't be able to put it on a '73 Hurricane as you can't make any vehicle appear younger. Not that much of a bargain even at £250 now!

When writing cheques to people (not companies) I went through a phase of adding 17p to any final amount in whole pounds, it seemed a friendlier way of filling the cheque out than writing (eg) Thirty-seven Pounds Only, which felt a bit like saying "No, you can't have any more, now go away, etc.".

Strange to see that anyone would do that in reverse...

Gaz262,

In answer to your question I paid £450 for a 1955 £ + 3 dateless registration. I lot cheaper than any of the internet dealer (irt was a private purchase).

You can put a dateless plate on any age of bike.

You can make a motor vehicle appear older, but not younger under DVLA rules.
