Was there anything wrong with it before they took it to bits?? Don't think it will ever be the same again 🆘

Hand built by craftsmen...... I could have done with some of their tools the other day as I struggled to remove the engine sprocket on my Tiger 100. Then again, I do have a sledge hammer I could have used, I suppose. Perhaps I'm too gentle with it? (got it off in the end; it needed heat as someone had loctited it on.

Let's see, at about 2:30 they undo the stud that's holding it on and at 2:57 they find the head is now thoroughly embuggered by the bar they used as a lever. There's an awful fascination to this video, you have to watch it but it made me want to hide behind the sofa.

I've tried to put this video out of my mind but it gave me a nightmare last night. The embuggerment of the head is only 3 minutes into the 22 minute video. They then proceed to perform practically every known form of evil (and some we'd never think of) to that poor engine. Have they never seen a sprocket puller? The use steel levers when they separate the crankcases, OMG! It's like a 'what not to do' documentary. It's a horror movie.

Ah well, I have to admitt to greater crimes against machinery over the years. The screw driver between the fins didnt look good but I doubt it will stop the motor performing to its usual lethargic best once its all back together.

They must have worked on it all night as the rooster was crowing to tell them it was dawn and to stop for prayers and breakfast.
