No idea. These figures were never quoted back in the day but BHP was, 52 was the figure given in advertising at the time. Why would you want this?

As Mark says no figure's were ever given back then, the advice I was given as a lad was "just make sure you don't over tighten them, but they have to be tight enough", a steep learning curve followed.

Hi, I seem to remember reading somewhere the torque for a super meteor was 39ft lb so a Connie should rate above that. Vince

As said previously non specified at the time but I guess Vince is about correct at 22 I think that is the figure given for the Indian Bullet using the same size fixing.

If we're at a dead loss for torque wrench figures, then it can be worked out from the bolt diameter and the material it is screwed in to. That is how it is worked out by the design engineers in the first place.
