The B5 Bullet seat seems pretty firm, even from someone who is used to Corbin saddles. I am looking for any input on long term use. Does it soften up or brake-in.

I have a 2016 B5 seat is very firm suggest you get some one to wack you on the bum with a 4 x 2 after that it will fell nothing. They do soften up a little after about 2000klm not much but better than when new.remember in india these bikes carry 3 or 4 so you need a good robust seat, if all fails try voltarn.

Lesson learnt from push bikes - a soft seat is not comfortable. Hence using Brooks saddles. Take a look at car seats, they're actually quite firm. If you sink into a soft seat you get nasty sores. One needs firm support across the botty.

LOL - Voltaren Gel (or Voltarol Emugel) is a diclofenac analgesic for application to the parts, mainly for arthritis. If you didn't have a numb bum before, you will after using it.

As far as I know we do not have the product mentioned in the states. I would assume one would need to be quite exact in application or description Numb Nutz would take on different meaning!

Thanks for replys about the seat, I have no problem allowing a seat to wear in.

Ah yes, 'numb bum' across the pond would have a different meaning, try 'numb donkey' (I don't understand the merikan predilection for asses), it doesn't rhyme though ;)

I have sat on a B5 seat, it doesn't have the same firm flat cushion of the C5 solo seat. A number of small/one-man companies abound that will re-cover or re-pad a bike seat. The C5 solo seat does have a reputation on being the best seat yet to come out of Chennai. Problem with a seat breaking-in would be the cushion crumb breaking up or rotting.

Sinking into a soft cushion puts pressure on the tender parts, it's supposed to support the ischial tuberosities (sit bones) that are equipped to take one's weight, not allow them to sink in and put pressure elsewhere.

H do offer a few alternative dual seats for the B5, any of the english ones will have better padding.

Thanks Jefers,
I do work at a dealership that is bringing on RE bikes shortly. I have had bikes that I have had stock seat modified for comfort, some were good some not so much. I love the looks of the Classic Chrome but I think the B5 would work out for my choice of soft luggage since the RKA saddlebags and Revpack seat bag will drape over the passenger seat. A plus is the small rack can be added.

I will be using the bike I ride as an example to show off H's accessories and performance items and other bit's.
