Interesting to read the police report on Ugov for 2014-2015.

Theft offences: 1,755,436

Prosecutions: 196,179

Which is 11.2%... Not much chance of the perpetrators being caught by the plod then. It's even worse over here. (Denmark). About 3.5% success rate. Makes one wonder why one pays taxes.

You're on your own..

I've succesfully and easily repaired the 4 cut-through/vandalised wires on my bike after the recent incident in a car park. OK.

Would like to report that the car park people where it happened have been extremely co-operative in looking through their videos, and HAVE PHONED ME BACK today AS PROMISED.... a lot of people don't phone back!

They have good images of the three males, stills and moving. I have contacted the police with this information and they are now going to check the videos themselves.

So, it's encouraging that they will even listen, I find. IF they do catch them, it will be interesting to see just how lightly their slap on the wrist will be...... mmmmmm.

When something like this happens you tend to take it personally and it hurts, We live in a small village where every one knows everything and we to have had attempted break ins to our workshop /garage and to protect our property bikes are chained to the concrete floor, alarm locks on doors, security lights inside and out with audible alarms, CCTV and the best deterrent of all two hairy four legged things with big teeth at one end, I have let the dogs out on several occasions in the early hours of the morning to chase low life so and so,s away, and on one occasion the Jack Russell,s chased two locals down the street, I saw who it was and I walked round my local area to round up the dogs and I found their car parked in the next street so this confirmed who it was, Let me say that this car has had four flat tyres on more than one occasion in the last few years, (REVENGE IS A DISH BEST SERVED UP COLD).

I had my bmw f650cs stolen from outside work on Monday. It was recovered later that day. It was recovered to a police approved compound and.when I questoined the police they said they had chased the thieves but lost them. Apparently it was school kids and reading between the lines they know who they are. I asked about damaged and was told its not rideable and has ripped out wiring, also the hepco and becker top box and panniers are missing. Its in the hands of the insurance company now, so I just have to wait and see what the outcome is. No doubt I will be out of pocket.

It was interesting and educational to watch next-door's burglar hurdle their 6-ft fence and leg it up the street with our airedale trotting at his heels making his v-8 growl, he does so enjoy his job! Ah! the screams in the night!

Be careful on the chase. My pal watched a scrote circle his house from INSIDE his garden, leering into the lower rooms and windows so pal called police. Police went to the front door, not the rear garden, giving time for the scrote to bolt. Pal gave chase and lunged at the scrote, catching his ankle and lower leg as the low life tried to get over a 6 ft high fence. Pal then felt a searing pain and a sense of his flesh being ripped open at the top of his thigh, at the rear of his leg. Sure enough, the Police dog had mistaken him for the scrote, leaving pal in need of help to get the dog off his leg, and in need of urgent surgery.
