My mate's got one like that and finds it rather narrow. Mines full length and has a cut out for the rear wheel instead of the drop down flap.

I think I'd go for a longer one as well. The bike in the pic is a Continental GT (obviously!) and that is quite a small machine which means the lift is a little small to my eye. Unless space is a real problem I'd go for a full size, the base (or foot?) looks a bit small too, stability when using more than usual physical effort is really important.

This is mine
KD benches. As I say, it's only fault is the hand operation but I'm going to devise a way of doing it by foot power. just need to fabricate a pedal and a spring return.
One of the beauties of this design is that the hydraulic part of it is a standard machine Mart trolley jack which is easy to replace if anything goes wrong.

PeteF, can you remember what the deliver charge was on that? (When I have built a shed to clear some space in my garage, that looks a handy tool and not just for using as a motorcycle lift.)

I bought a Fox Hunter table, for about 350 quid including delivery, and it's very nice for the money (big enough, foot operated, lifts to a good height, removable panel for rear wheel etc).

Being a bit of a twit, I bought mine in black (because I thought it looked more stylish) only to realise that all of my Allen keys were also black - which sometimes results in an occasional "...where the f* did I put that?" moment?.

But, apart from that, my only bugbear is that the front wheel clamp is tightened with a plastic knob, making it quite hard to tighten properly so, at some point, I'll weld a T bar or a nut onto it.

Hi guys went ahead and bought this table off eBay delivered yesterday and set it up today, it's very heavy but is stable, also being a scissor type it raises and lowers in its own footprint, unlike the parallel type and has a detachable ramp. just got to make some square metal plates up for the stabilising legs so they don't damage the plywood floor.

Steve T - Have you set that up in your kitchen!?? Spent ages looking for the sink!

My man-cave is nowhere near as neat & clean as that! I know where everything is and a garage is a garage but yours....
I'm impressed mate!
