I think some 'bob-jobs' can look good, especially the original 30's Harley and Indian ones. End of the day, anything that brings some vibrancy and youth into motorcycling is welcome in my view :-)

Hi, Funny with the mention of 1965 bullets, I have one, Ex Indian army certified by owners club, brought from our host. has G2 and EI numbers stamped. Didnt realise it was so iconic, Goes by the name of KRAIT (indian Snake) Vince

Maybe the bulk of Enfield India's production comes from 1965. Must have been a very busy year for them.

they were at war with pakistan that year, so big demand for bullets (pardon the pun).

OMG - this concept sounds like the rat bikes we shoved together from any bits and pieces we could find back in the early 70s

Bobber, Chop. Streetfighter, Cafe Racer,,,,,,,,,,,,, people have been modifying their bikes for years, and that's just the point. They are modifying their bikes, not yours. If they enjoy doing it and like the result, what the hell does it matter to anyone else?

well, did you see the cost of Tornado, the LNER railway engine, they had to build it as there were no real ones left. Let's give Andy the last Brough 34 (or whatever it is) and a hacksaw...

A lover of heritage should not be treated as a heretic.

No worries, I have my own hacksaw,,,, and angle grinder,,,, and a fine selection of files,,,,,, I even have an engineering apprenticeship that says I know how to use them,,,,,,,,,,,.

just a thought, this thread started off talking about cutting up Indian Enfields to make bobbers,,,,,,,,,, no one mentioned heritage,,,,,,,,,,,

I have a friend who is obsessed with CZ's, I'd rather push the Bullet than ride a Harley and the chap up the rode has decided that the ultimate motorcycle is the GS80. Fact is the only thing we all have in common is the shared joy of two wheeled transport. Vive la difference!
