We're meeting at GV Bikes in Taunton TA1 1PG at 10.30am for an 11am departure.

The exact route will be decided on the day based on numbers and weather. The general plan is to take a scenic route to the seaside, possibly Ilfracombe, for afternoon tea and then return to Taunton. Severe wet weather plans might include a trip to the Helicopter Museum at Weston-Super-Mare.

For full information, I've had a go at uploading our flier to the web. Hopefully one of the links below will work...

The ride is also listed on the Royal Enfield UK facebook page:

Hopefully see a few people down there.

For those further north, there is a similar ride leaving from Stafford, also listed on the RE UK page above.

hooray, a confirmed attendee! :)

Don't know, my experience is that most people don't confirm either way, so actual numbers can be a mystery!

I'm up between Patchway and Sadly Broke. Where abouts are you? I'll be on my GT too... assuming I finish putting it back together! Want to ride down together?

In my opinion this seems a wasted opportunity organising a special Enfield one day of the year ride that isn't exclusively for Enfields.
Elsewhere that might just be called a ride ;)
Hopefully may see you at Sammy Millers on the 17th.

ric - take a look at the Facebook page 'Royal Enfield Owners UK' (nb. this is not the REOC - its an informal group of lads and lassies with a shared interest in all things RE, no fees, no club rules, very inclusive and all arewelcome) and click on the Events tab and you will see there is a lot more information about One Ride. It is a Royal Enfield Ride Out organised by independent clubs in India and around the world, but is promoted by the RE India website. Since this is the first year this has ever been done in the UK and there was very little time to organise it, until the event is much more widely known amongst Royal Enfield owners then it was felt that it would be acceptable to welcome other British bikes of the period (e.g. BSA B40, Meriden Triumph, Ariel Red Hunter, Velocette, AJS 16, Norton ES2 etc etc) to tag along. If you would like to get involved and organise your own Royal Enfield ride out then you I'm sure Royal Enfield Owners UK FB would welcome it.
