This isn't about consensus. The facts are clear. The type of lithium battery we can buy for our motorcycles uses Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry. See: Wikipedia



The term "Lithium-ion" is different - it's a generic term for a whole range of rechargeable lithium batteries, which includes LiFePO4 batteries, along with dozens of others. See: Wikipedia

The only reason you can't take a rifle onto a plane is because it won't fit in the overhead locker. Obviously if everyone travelled with a rifle they would potentially block the aisle, making it difficult for the staff to serve refreshments. This is why terrorists prefer the much more compact machine pistol.
