Hi, different bike but possibly connected, I had a misfire that proved to be the coil on its way out. The bike would run ok at 50 for 20miles then it would spit if the throttle was opened, it would then only run below 40 then 30 then cut out. It finally was resolved as a charging fault burning out the coil. It was red hot to touch.! Vince

Are there issues with the green ignition box as I saw it mentioned? My bike has the green box and a problem cleared after cleaning the box connection cheers
